After countless sunrises surfed and sandy sunsets spent along Europe’s diverse coasts, we noticed a common thread: surfers and outdoor adventurers were passionate about the ocean, but struggled to find skincare that respected both their body and the planet. “Why,” we wondered, “should caring for yourself mean harming the blue places we love?”
So, Nirvan8 was born—not in a lab, but on the sand, in between tide cycles and stories around a campfire.
Our Founders—Real Surfers, Real People
Our founders are surfers, travelers, and eco-geeks. With every trip, we saw more plastic bottles washed up on the shore than shoreline shells. We wanted to do better. We started small—mixing coconut oils, lime, and kaolin clay in our beachside kitchen, testing new bars after long, salty sessions in the water.
After a dozen iterations (and a few sunburns), we finally nailed it: a bar that was nourishing, vegan, minimal, and looked as good on your shelf as it felt on your skin. Our friends raved, and soon their friends wanted in too. Suddenly, our post-surf bathroom shelf had become a movement.
